While sharks are the typical target of the shorter offshore trip, anything from bluefish to tuna, bonito to mahi mahi may be expected. Our range is generally 15 to 30 miles from Point Judith. Priority Fishing Charters is a member of the National Marine Fisheries Service Cooperative Shark Tagging Program. To date, our furthest shark tag return was from 2075 miles away, off the coast of Venezuela. This Blue shark was at liberty for over 3 years. We’ve had Mako shark tags returned from the Flemish Cap. The 2007 season saw 3 small Mako sharks and a Hammerhead shark tagged for research.
